SAN FRANCISCO -- Manager Bruce Bochy said the Giants were discussing whether to replace one or two hobbled players on their roster ahead of Game 4 of the N.L. Division Series on Tuesday night.
Eduardo Nunez has been limited because of a strained hamstring. And left fielder Angel Pagan was scratched from the lineup shortly before Game 3 because of back spasms.
Pagan is not in the lineup for Game 4 and while Bochy said he expected Pagan available off the bench, he was waiting for an update from trainer Dave Groeschner.
Any position player removed from the roster would have to be replaced by another position player and would not be eligible to play in the NLCS, if the Giants make it.
