SAN DIEGO - The Giants sent Tyler Beede back to the minors after Sunday’s 10-1 loss to the Padres, and Beede expectedly was bummed.
But any disappointment he felt about returning to Triple-A Sacramento was superseded by the joy he felt from reaching the big leagues for the first time.
“I’m definitely looking more on the positive side to have the experience be able to pitch in two big-league games and certainly hoping I can have more soon,” Beede said. “I’m not drawing the short stick. I’m drawing the big stick.”
Big sticks were the theme all day as the Padres knocked around Beede and an ineffective bullpen, notably Josh Osich and Derek Law.
