The Giants have traded right-handed reliever Cody Hall to the Arizona Diamondbacks for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
In his rookie season at 27 years old, Hall made seven appearances out of the bullpen for the Giants in 2015. He went 0-0 with a 6.48 ERA, striking out seven batters in 8.1 innings pitched.
Hall was drafted by the Giants in the 19th round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Southern University and A&M College. He went 13-11 with a 2.62 ERA in five minor league seasons.
To make room for recently signed center fielder Denard Span, the Giants recently designated Hall for assignment.
