The man who built the wall is going on the wall.
The Giants announced Wednesday that they’re honoring Peter Magowan by adding him on their Wall of Fame, which he created in 2008 in the team’s 50th anniversary year in San Francisco.
A ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 9 at 10 a.m., the morning of the team’s fanfest, at recently renamed Oracle Park. Magowan will be the 53rd person and first non-player on the wall.
