SAN FRANCISCO–The San Francisco Giants and the family of Hall of Fame first baseman Willie McCovey are inviting fans to AT&T Park to celebrate the life of one of the franchise’s most beloved figures.
McCovey passed away Wednesday at the age of 80 after battling ongoing health issues.
The Giants and McCovey’s family are planning a public celebration of life to be held Thursday, November 8 at 11:30 a.m. at AT&T Park.
The celebration is open to all fans and friends of McCovey and guests are advised to enter the park through the Willie Mays Plaza gates.
