Giants sunk by Phillies' huge 6th inning

SAN FRANCISCO -- Ty Kelly put the punctuation mark on the Phillies' breakout night at the plate Saturday, lifting a grand slam in the sixth -- part of a seven-run inning -- to help Philadelphia break a six-game losing streak in a 12-9 win over the Giants.

Rhys Hoskins joined in on the Philadelphia power, blasting a three-run 385-foot shot in the third while Cameron Rupp added a solo homer in the ninth. Cameron Perkins contributed two RBIs in the Phillies' first win of their West Coast road trip. Starter Jerad Eickhoff saw his streak of three earned runs or fewer in five straight games end, as he worked 4 2/3 innings while allowing four runs and eight hits.
