Bryan Reynolds, the Giants’ top draft pick out of Vanderbilt, shown sliding into second in the 2014 College World Series.
PITTSBURGH - The Giants have signed their top 2016 draft pick, Vanderbilt outfielder Bryan Reynolds, a switch-hitter they were surprised to get with the 59th pick.
According to sources he will get slightly over the $1.09 million bonus slot for his pick.
Reynolds hit .330 with 13 homers and a .461 on-base percentage as a junior this season. He also has played in the wooden-bat Cape Cod League, which the Giants like in their hitting prospects.
