Robert Emery, a former USF and St. Ignatius High School standout, has signed with the Giants as a free agent, USF announced Thursday.
The catcher hit .310 and knocked in 50 runs in three college seasons with the Dons. He was a two-time Buster Posey Watch List honoree, which recognizes top collegiate catchers.
