SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Figuring the Giants' opening day roster always is an intriguing exercise, if a granular one. But what does it matter when so many of the players are water-soluble?
The Giants on Sunday more or less set the group that will stand on the baseline in Milwaukee for the April 4 opener. They optioned outfielders Jarrett Parker and Mac Williamson to Triple-A Sacramento along with seven other trims.There's little doubt that Parker and Williamson will play a part in the Giants' season at one stage or another. So will right-hander Michael Broadway, who was optioned to Sacramento as well.
