Giants' Sanchez exits in fourth with left ankle sprain

Giants catcher Hector Sanchez exited Saturday's game against the Rockies with a left a left ankle sprain, the team announced.

The injury occurred during the fourth inning. While batting with one out and a runner on first base, Sanchez laid down a bunt. As he stretched to beat the throw to first base, he appeared to hurt his left leg.

He was helped off the field by Giants trainers.

Buster Posey, who wasn't in the starting lineup, entered the game in Sanchez's place.

Sanchez was credited with a sacrifice bunt on the play. In his first at-bat, he doubled to deep right and scored a double by first baseman Nick Noonan.
