SAN FRANCISCO -- Mac Williamson flexed his muscles again Monday night by clobbering a two-run, sixth-inning homer that helped cement the San Francisco Giants' 4-2 triumph over the Washington Nationals, who lost their third game in a row.
The Giants have won three of their last four games, a stretch that coincides with Williamson's recall from Triple-A Sacramento. He has hit safely in each of those games.
His latest hit was one of his biggest, projected at 464 feet, according to Statcast™. With the Giants clinging to a 2-1 lead, Brandon Belt walked before Williamson rocketed reliever Shawn Kelley's first pitch over the right-center-field barrier to pad San Francisco's cushion.
