The Giants are reportedly showing interest in Cubs vice president of scouting and player development Jason McLeod for the vacancy in their front office that was created when former general manager Bobby Evans was dismissed last month.
Chicago sports radio station 670 The Score was the first to report the Giants' interest, and neither the Cubs nor Giants have confirmed that McLeod is a candidate for the opening in San Francisco's front office.
McLeod, who has been with the Cubs throughout the Theo Epstein era since joining the club in 2011 along with current general manager Jed Hoyer, is signed with the Cubs through '21.
