Giants receive coronavirus briefing, working with city of San Francisco, MLB daily

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — San Francisco Giants players, coaches, executives and staffers gathered at the team’s complex inside Scottsdale Stadium on Friday to receive a briefing from team doctors on COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

Giants CEO Larry Baer told reporters that team doctors are in touch with MLB medical advisors who are receiving information and updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The meeting is taking place ahead of “Investors Weekend” when members of the Giants ownership group will arrive in Scottsdale to watch games and attend an annual dinner.
