The Giants moved to bolster their bullpen before Sunday’s game against San Diego, purchasing the contract of right-handed reliever Bryan Morris from Triple-A Sacramento.
Morris, 30, has previous major-league experience with the Pirates and Marlins. His career record in the majors is 18-12 with a 2.80 ERA.
“Bryan hopefully will bring some depth in this bullpen,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “He’s an experienced reliever. We were very excited to have him in the spring. ...
“He has good stuff and good movement on his fastball. I think he’s going to help solidify this bullpen in the sixth-seventh inning.
