WEST SACRAMENTO — Jaylin Davis, a 24th round draft choice of the Minnesota Twins in 2015, had already beaten the odds by making it to Double-A.
Most players drafted below the 20th round never sniff the level, but Davis reached Double-A halfway through his third full season of professional baseball.
When the Twins informed Davis he would begin the year at Double-A Chattanooga, it was no surprise to a player who was eager to take advantage of an opportunity to change his swing.
“When I was swinging, I would come up out of my legs,” Davis said.
