These two teams met at the beginning of the month and so what’s a bit of elegance, the San Francisco Giants will get to face off against a team that’s clearly better than them and have the chance to gauge just how much better they’ve become over the past few weeks.
Ever since that suboptimal four game sweep in Philadelphia, the Giants have won a lot. They’re 12-6 (with 5 of those wins coming against the Rockies, sure) including a surprising 6-3 on the road, a development that’s a welcome surprise given that they were 16-43 on the the road since the second half of last season following that series in Philadelphia.
