SAN FRANCISCO — Giants left fielder Jarrett Parker sustained a right shoulder injury during the fourth inning of Saturday’s game against the Colorado Rockies and immediately left the field.
The Giants did not announce the nature of the injury, but Parker was in obvious agony after crashing into the outfield wall to make a terrific running catch.
Parker drew a cheer for hauling in the long drive off the bat of D.J. LeMahieu but there were immediate signs of trouble. The left fielder sprinted back toward the infield before falling to his knees in pain. After staying down for a few minutes, he was escorted from the field by trainer Dave Groeschner.
