SAN FRANCISCO -- A day after Chris Heston became the fifth Giants starter this month to lead the team to a home shutout, manager Bruce Bochy met with rehabbing right-hander Jake Peavy to remind him that the key is getting healthy, not getting back quickly.
"The good news through all this, and I know you want to get on the mound, is we don't have to rush it," Bochy said. "These (starters) are giving us time to slow-play it with Jake and (Matt) Cain."
While Cain will face hitters on Saturday, Peavy could be taking it slower than expected for a few days.
