SAN FRANCISCO _ Sergio Romo is back on the Giants roster Monday after missing 76 games with a right flexor strain.
As game time approached, the Giants had not announced a corresponding move but it’s conceivable center fielder Denard Span is headed to the disabled list with a neck injury.
Romo, a mainstay in the Giants bullpen for all three championship runs, was out longer than anyone anticipated.
“It’s been a long road for him,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “Now we’re hoping that with all the time off that he’s going to be fresh for the second half and good to go.
