Matt Duffy and his injured brethren, Joe Panik and Hunter Pence, have watched the Giants’ recent slide from afar or in some cases from the dugout.
It hasn’t been easy.
“We’re competitors,” Duffy said Tuesday after his latest round of rehab work. “We want to be out there. It’s always going to be tough to watch (when you’re injured). It makes it a little easier when the team wins.
“Maybe we’d still be 1-8 (since the break) if we were all in the lineup. You never know. But part of you does think you could help.
