Longtime Giants assistants Hensley Meulens and Ron Wotus are the first known names to interview for the San Francisco Giants' vacant manager position following Bruce Bochy's retirement on Sunday.
NBC Sports Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reported Tuesday morning that Meulens, who has been on the team's coaching staff since 2010, will have his interview with the Giants sometime this week.
Pavlovic reported the bench coach "has long been considered a future manager," and will get the "first shot" among possible candidates. In addition, Pavlovic reported President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi "is believed to have a long list of candidates and the process is expected to last well into November.
