SAN FRANCISCO _ Bruce Bochy got his 800th win as Giants manager Sunday pretty much in the way everyone figured.
Johnny Cueto, the Giants top winner, came unhinged at an umpires warning and blew a four-run lead, with Ramiro Pena and Conor Gillaspie playing starring roles in an 8-7 win over the Philadelphia Phillies before a crowd of 41,479.
Predicting the Giants to win is easy enough, but forecasting their method is another story.
“It was appropriate I guess to have this type of game, a torturous game, where it looked like we had things under control and it started to get away from us,” Bochy said.
