SAN FRANCISCO — As the only starting pitcher who played with both Brandon Crawford and Andrelton Simmons, Tim Hudson had a unique view of the shortstops vying for the National League’s Gold Glove Award. On the final day of his big league career, Hudson was asked how difficult it must have been for coaches and managers to choose a winner this season.
“I don’t think there’s too much of a challenge. I think Crawford is the guy,” Hudson said.
