HOUSTON - A few sections of seats above the high left-field wall at Minute Maid Park are named after the street outside that parallels the seating.
They’re called the Crawford Boxes, and for one night, they might as well have been named after the Giants’ shortstop. They were the landing point of Brandon Crawford’s fifth-inning home run that his family will never forget.
It was the Giants’ biggest highlight in Tuesday night’s 11-2 interleague loss to the Astros, and it gave Crawford bragging rights at the next family wingding because the home run was hit off the man who married Crawford’s sister.
