The 30-win club in the majors is quite exclusive. It had one member, the Cubs, until the Giants joined Chicago on Wednesday with a 4-3 victory against their favorite opponent this year, the Padres.
They won in a walk-off for the second time in the series, on Brandon Crawford’s two-out single in the 10th inning against lefty Brad Hand, who has been murder on left-handed hitters this season.
After George Kontos got two outs with the go-ahead run at third in the top of the 10th, Matt Duffy hit a one-out single off Hand.
