Giants live to play another day as Panik hits decisive double in 13th

For two games and a big part of a third, the Giants' Division Series against the Cubs looked like an unfair fight. By the end of Game 3 Monday night, it turned into a bruising heavyweight fight, with punch after punch, counterpunch after counterpunch that made it one of the most thrilling postseason games in the Bruce Bochy era.

In the end, the Giants were bloodied, but standing, and they lived to fight another day when they beat the Cubs 6-5 on Joe Panik's 13th-inning double off the wall in right-center.

The Giants earned another game.
