Giants' Krukow selected for CCAA Hall of Fame induction

San Francisco Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow has been selected for induction into the California Collegiate Athletic Association Hall of Fame.

Krukow starred for three seasons at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo -- which is now a part of the Big West Conference -- before being selected in the eighth round of the 1973 MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs.

Though his college career was cut short by signing with the Cubs, Krukow still owns multiple records for the Mustangs baseball team. Krukow's 1.94 career ERA at Cal Poly is still the school record, and his five shutouts in one season have him tied for the single season record.
