“Maybe tee ball or something,” Kelby Tomlinson said. “Other than that, no.”
Tomlinson’s first-inning drive to right-center wasn’t defended well. Two Colorado outfielders seemed hesitant, and the relay throw home was soft. It didn’t diminish the moment for the Giants or their fans as Tomlinson slid headfirst across the plate, the impact making his glasses fly off.
“I always thought it would be pretty cool to get one,” the second baseman said.
