SAN DIEGO - This is the Cubs’ All-Star Game. They might not have much success in the postseason -- OK, zero -- but they certainly dominate the All-Star roster.
And All-Star talk.
The Cubs have seven All-Stars, more than the entire contingent from the Bay Area, which includes Giants Johnny Cueto, Madison Bumgarner, Buster Posey and Brandon Belt and Oakland’s Stephen Vogt.
Tuesday’s game at Petco Park pits Cueto against the White Sox’s Chris Sale. The Cubs’ entire infield will start for the National League.
A reporter covering the Cubs asked Toronto third baseman Josh Donaldson, who was drafted by the Cubs and shipped to the A’s a year later, if he felt like the eighth Cubs All-Star.
