The Giants jumped on the Rockies straight away, something they like to do, and held on for a win. Wilmer Flores hit the big blow, a three-run homer with two outs in the 1st. With a 5-2 lead in the 9th Kap called on Jake McGee who struggled, giving up a two-run homer to Connor Joe and putting the go-ahead run on base. Zack Littell was summoned to clean up the mess and he struck out hot-hitting C.J. Cron with high heat to end it. It was a more dramatic ending than necessary but that's the way it's going to be from here on out.
