Giants get two hits, still swept by Padres

Edwin Jackson shut the Giants down for most of the game, and Johnny Cueto was mortal against the Padres for the first time this season.

We deserved that. The whole thing. The Giants rolled into the All-Star break with the best record in baseball, and a huge part of that was they were 9-0 against the Padres. That’s not supposed to happen. Over a nine-game stretch, the 2012 Astros could win a game against the 1927 Yankees.

You: That’s because everyone in 1927 was 5’6" and malnourished.
