Giants first baseman Brandon Belt an All-Star

Giants first baseman Brandon Belt was voted to the National League All-Star team Friday.

Belt made the team in the annual MLB All-Star Game Final Vote, which is 72 hours of balloting to determine the final roster spot for the all-star team -- one for each league. Toronto outfielder Michael Saunders was the American League winner.The 87th All-Star Game will be played Tuesday in San Diego.According to mlb.com, Belt passed Pittsburgh Pirates outfieler Starling Marte on Friday morning. Belt, who is going to the All-Star Game for the first time, will be joined by teammates Johnny Cueto and Buster Posey.
