SAN FRANCISCO — D.J. LaMahieu hit a two-run home run off Sam Dyson in the ninth inning Thursday as the Giants ended a successful homestand on a down note with a 9-8 loss to the Colorado Rockies at AT&T Park.
The loss snapped a four-game winning streak before a crowd of 37,529 and denied the Giants a chance at their first 8-2 homestand since 2012.
The Giants went into the ninth inning leading 8-7 on a two-run double by Alen Hanson in the eighth, but Dyson surrendered a single to Chris Ianetta leading off the inning, and LaMahieu’s two-run home run to left with one out gave the Rockies the lead.
