SAN FRANCISCO–The Giants have a roster to overhaul, money to spend and big-picture questions about the future of the team to consider.
But until the franchise hires a new leader of its baseball operations department, don’t expect any significant decisions to be made.
As the Giants wrap up their second consecutive losing season, CEO Larry Baer, vice president of baseball operations Brian Sabean and manager Bruce Bochy met with reporters ahead of the final game of the regular season Sunday. Though the trio was willing to dissect the problems that plagued the 2018 club, Baer, Sabean and Bochy didn’t want to speculate about the future because so much will soon change.
