SAN FRANCISCO–Replacing the eastern span of the Bay Bridge was the most costly public works project in California history, but the construction gave the region a sturdy, strong and confidence-inspiring roadway.
When the San Francisco Giants travel back across it following their Sunday July 22 game against the Oakland A’s, they should know whether their roster possesses the same qualities as the renovated segment of the bridge.
Over the next 10 days, the Giants will play six games against a local rival and spend four days resting during the most pivotal portion of their season to date.
