Late last February, just a few weeks before the world would be shut down do to the coronavirus, the San Francisco Giants played the Seattle Mariners in a preseason game. It was a symbolic game, because it featured Hunter Bishop — the Giants first-round pick in 2019, and the first player drafted by Farhan Zaidi since joining the organization — and his brother, Braden Bishop.
That was the first time that the two brothers played against each other, and now there’s a chance that they’ll play together. On Monday, the Giants claimed Braden off of waivers from the Mariners, and optioned him to the AAA Sacramento River Cats.
