The San Francisco Giants bullpen carousel continues to spin round and round and round. Prior to their Tuesday series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Giants optioned right-handed pitcher John Brebbia to AAA Sacramento, and called up right-handed pitcher Camilo Doval.
Doval, who is 24, made his MLB debut earlier in the year. He was absolutely electric, but also not particularly good. In 10.2 innings he struck out 13 batters, but also allowed 11 hits (4 of which were home runs), 6 walks, and 9 earned runs. He hasn’t been much better in AAA, where he has a 5.
