Giants radio broadcaster Dave Flemming is one of several candidates for the high-profile gig as play-by-play voice on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball," a job that current partner Jon Miller held for 21 seasons.
Flemming said Wednesday that he expressed interest in the job. He said it would not impact his role with the Giants, whom he said have been supported his national work.
Other candidates include longtime ESPN "Baseball Tonight" host Karl Ravech and Jon "Boog" Sciambi, who calls the Sunday night games for ESPN radio.
Dan Shulman is stepping down from the highly coveted TV job because wants to travel less and spend more time at home in Toronto.
