The fans love Brandon Crawford. They did not love Buster Posey enough. But both are going to the 2018 All-Star Game in Washington, and their buddy Brandon Belt has a shot to join them.
Crawford and Posey were named to the National League team Sunday, with Crawford winning the election at shortstop for the first time. This will be his second All-Star Game. He also went in 2015.
Posey had led through much of the fan balloting for catcher but lost to the Cubs’ Willson Contreras. Posey will go as a backup to his fourth consecutive All-Star Game because he was selected on the player ballot.
