MILWAUKEE - Manager Bruce Bochy finally admitted what the faithful already know. He called left field a "black hole" for the Giants this season.
The 11th and 12th occupants, Austin Slater and Orlando Calixte, both are hitting .167 and Calixte is playing bad defense. In Wednesday night's 6-3 loss he overran a single in left field for an error and took a bad route on a Hernan Perez double.
Like Christian Arroyo, Slater and Calixte posted great numbers at Triple-A but look completely overmatched here.
"We've got to get these guys to relax," Bochy said.
