Giants beat Tigers, 3-1

The San Francisco Giants won their second in a row against the Detroit Tigers today, winning 3-1.

This one turned out to be a pitcher’s duel of sorts. Logan Webb pitched another gem, allowing just one run on four hits with eight strikeouts and a walk over seven innings.

The Tigers went with an opener, Alex Faedo, before handing the ball to their left-handed rookie Brant Hurter, making his second appearance. And he held his own against Webb, allowing three runs on four hits with five strikeouts and a walk in five innings.
