MILWAUKEE - Aaron Hill was a Milwaukee Brewer for 84 games last year, and he has nothing but nice things to say about the team and the city. He was looking forward to a four-game series at Miller Park that began Monday night.
That Hill played hero in a 7-2 Giants victory only made the night happier for him and 24 teammates, particularly Jeff Samardzija.
Hill was 5-for-35 with one extra-base hit for the Giants, a meaningless solo homer in the second game of the season, when he hit a pinch two-run double with the bases loaded and two outs in the eighth to break a 2-2 tie and make a winner of Samardzija after an inspired start for the Shark.
