SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants endured the final indignity of a forgettable season Saturday as they watched AT&T Park become a playpen for the Dodgers, who clinched a postseason berth in handing San Francisco a 10-6 loss and celebrating their triumph on their archrival's turf.
The Giants put up admirable resistance, but the Dodgers inched ahead in the eighth inning, when they broke a 5-5 score on Manny Machado's RBI triple. Los Angeles then poured it on by adding four runs in the ninth.
Momentum swung manically earlier in the game, providing thorough entertainment for the sellout crowd.
