SAN FRANCISCO -- Starter Derek Holland spent the first six innings Wednesday just trying to keep the Giants close, then saw his work rewarded with San Francisco erupting for five runs in the sixth en route to a 6-5 win over the Miami Marlins at AT&T Park.
The Marlins got a two-out single from Miguel Rojas in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead, and starter Jose Urena nursed it through five innings, allowing just four baserunners and no runs.
But Brandon Belt, getting his timing back after a DL stint to have his appendix removed, blasted a ground-rule double to tie the game at 1.
