Hailey Dawson’s wish may come true, thanks to the combined powers of Twitter and Bleacher Report.
Born without three fingers because of a rare disease called Poland Syndrome, according to SportsTechie, the 7-year-old taught herself to hold and throw a ball while using a 3-D printed hand.
Now she’s on a mission to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at all 32 Major League ballparks, and the Giants and A’s were among at least nine clubs that responded to a tweet by Bleacher Report about Dawson.
Dawson’s determination to play baseball reportedly led her parents to obtain a specially designed 3-D printed hand controlled by a fishing line for her.
