On Wednesday, the San Francisco Giants announced 11 non-roster invitees who will begin spring training with the big league squad.
The group is led by right-handed pitcher Tyler Beede, the team's top ranked prospect. per ESPN's Keith Law. Beede, the team's first round pick in 2014 out of Vanderbilt University, pitched all of last season at Double-A Richmond where he put up a 2.81 ERA and struck out 135 batters in 147.1 innings. He was the only Giants prospect to make Law's top 100 list this season.
Several other of the team's prospects will get a chance to prove themselves in camp.
