Giants' Angel Pagan exits with apparent leg injury

NEW YORK – Angel Pagan exited Sunday’s game at Citi Field in the seventh inning after sustaining an apparent leg injury on the bases.

Pagan hit an RBI single to give the Giants a 5-0 lead over the New York Mets, but took an aggressive turn toward second base before throwing on the brakes. He appeared to pull up lame, got tagged out and walked slowly off the field.

Gregor Blanco replaced Pagan in left field in the bottom of the seventh.

Pagan has played fewer than 100 games in two of the past three seasons because of surgeries on his back and hamstring.
