Forget the standings, the Giants are outperforming the A's in television audience by a wide margin.
A new Forbes report revealed Neilsen's TV ratings for the first half of the MLB season and showed that the Giants are among 10 teams rated No. 1 in primetime programming in their home markets.Their 4.72 rating on CSN Bay Area dwarfs the 0.88 drawn to A's games on CSN California in the primetime window (Monday-Sunday, 7-11pm).The Giants are seventh on Forbes' list while the A's bring up the rear of 29 teams -- withholding Toronto, since Canada isn't tracked by Neilsen.
