The Giants have reached agreement on a six-year contract with shortstop Brandon Crawford, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The deal covers the two remaining years of arbitration and four years of free agency, the Giants said in a release announcing the contract. Dollar terms were not disclosed.Crawford is coming off a season in which he hit 21 homers with 84 RBI while hitting .256. All were career-highs, as were his 33 doubles and 65 runs scored. He also won the National League Gold Glove at short.A first-time All-Star in 2015, Crawford, 28, is part of a homegrown infield that includes Brandon Belt at first base, Joe Panik at second, Matt Duffy at short and Buster Posey catching.
