The San Francisco Giants went into this week facing a make-or-break series with the Atlanta Braves, holders of the National League’s last wild-card spot. After two straight 10th-inning losses, it’s looking more like “break.”
Travis D’Arnaud singled off Casey Schmitt’s glove in the top of the 10th inning to score former Giant Luke Williams, ghost-running at second base. The Giants once again couldn’t answer in their half of the inning as they lost to Atlanta, 4-3.

The end of the game wasn’t without its weirdness.
